Terms & Conditions

Effective 22 August 2026 · These terms cover reliefmapper.org and the ReliefMapper application.

1. Who you are contracting with

ReliefMapper is provided by Panóplia Positiva Unipessoal Lda, trading as OneSevenOh Innovations, Avenida Heróis do Ultramar, 3100-462 Pombal, Portugal ("we", "us"). "You" means the person using the site or the application. By using either, you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. What ReliefMapper is

ReliefMapper is a browser-based tool for drawing an area, splitting it into equal sectors by hectare, and exporting the result as KML and other formats. It is a planning aid. It is not an airspace authorisation, not a flight management system, and not a survey instrument. Nothing it produces authorises a flight or replaces the checks a competent operator makes.

3. Accounts

Using the tool requires no account. An account is required only to connect your own cloud storage and save or share projects. You sign in through Microsoft or Google — we never see or store your password.

You must be old enough to hold the Microsoft or Google account you sign in with, and the account must be yours to use.
You are responsible for everything done under your sign-in.
Accounts are free. If we ever introduce a paid tier, existing accounts will be told before anything changes, and the free capabilities described here will not be taken away retroactively.

4. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use ReliefMapper for your own operations, whether professional or personal, in accordance with the Terms of Use. The software, the interface, the name and the logo remain ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of the application to you — and nothing here claims ownership of your work (see the Data Terms).

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service available and current, but we provide it as is and without any guarantee of uptime. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it, and we may take it down for maintenance. Because the application runs in your browser and your files live in your own storage, a service interruption does not put your work out of reach: an installed copy continues to work offline, and your exported files are already yours.

6. Warranties and what we are not liable for

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular operation, and we exclude all implied warranties.

We are not liable for any loss arising from the
  planning, authorisation, conduct or outcome of a real operation, for decisions taken on
  the basis of an area, sector or export produced with this tool, for the accuracy of
  third-party map data, or for loss of data held in storage we do not operate. Flight
  authorisation, airspace compliance and the safety of every operation remain entirely
  the responsibility of the operator and the pilot in command.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory Portuguese and EU law.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using ReliefMapper at any time, sign out, and ask us to delete your entry in our user registry. We may suspend or end access if these terms or the Terms of Use are breached in a way that harms the service or other users, or if we are required to by law. Ending access never touches the files in your own drive — they were never ours to remove.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. The effective date at the top always tells you which version you are reading. Material changes will be signalled on the site before they take effect; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Disputes fall to the courts of the district of Leiria, Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring proceedings in their own place of residence or to use an out-of-court dispute resolution body.
